Smart Load Management

Intelligent power management systems to distribute EV charging loads, prevent demand spikes, and integrate solar, storage, and grid power into a unified energy strategy.

What we deliver

Our Smart Load Management capabilities

EV Load Management

Software-defined charging rate control distributes power across multiple EVSE based on available capacity, time-of-use rates, and departure schedules — more chargers on the same service without expensive upgrades.

Demand Response Integration

Automated demand response programs where your building participates in utility demand reduction events — reducing peak charges and earning utility incentive payments.

Building Energy Management

Integrated energy management platforms combining solar production, battery dispatch, HVAC control, and EV charging into a single dashboard with real-time monitoring and automated optimization.

Who we serve

Ideal for these applications

Multi-Charger EV Deployments

Any site with more than 4–6 Level 2 chargers benefits from load management software to avoid service upgrades and reduce demand charges.

Commercial & Industrial Demand Reduction

Facilities with demand charges exceeding $10/kW month benefit from automated demand response and battery dispatch coordination.

Microgrids

Sites with solar, storage, and generator assets need an energy management system to coordinate dispatch decisions and optimize economics across all assets.

Utility Demand Response Programs

Commercial customers enrolled in utility demand response or interruptible rate programs need automated systems to respond to curtailment signals without manual intervention.

How it works

Our smart load management process

01

Energy Audit & Baseline

Utility bill review, demand profile analysis, and site audit to understand existing loads and identify optimization opportunities before recommending a system.

02

System Selection & Design

Energy management platform selected based on assets to be controlled, utility program participation, and integration requirements. Hardware and software designed together.

03

Installation & Integration

Hardware installation, network configuration, and integration with existing EVSE, inverters, building automation, and utility metering.

04

Commissioning & Optimization

System start-up, operating rules configured, and first-month performance monitored to tune dispatch strategies before handoff.

Common questions

Frequently asked

How much can load management reduce my demand charges?

Demand charge reductions of 15–40% are typical for commercial facilities with variable load profiles and multiple EVSE. The actual savings depend on your utility tariff structure and load profile.

Does load management slow down EV charging?

Minimally. Load management reduces charging rates during true peak demand windows — typically 15–30 minute intervals a few times per day. Most fleet and employee charging sessions are long enough to still deliver a full charge.

Can you integrate with our existing building automation system?

Yes — we integrate with Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, and common BACnet/Modbus-based BAS platforms. Integration scope is determined during system design.
